Mark Player Chairman/Director
Unfortunately, in recent years, Mark has been plagued with injuries which has prevented him from being able to get on to court. However, Mark is also a keen golfer and a member of Mill Ride Golf Club, and is attempting to play the top 100 courses in Britain and Ireland - currently on 48. Mark has a small boat on the river and enjoys gardening, watching football (in fact most sports) and seeing family. More recently he has retired from his printing business in High Wycombe, which he had for 38 years but remains a non-executive director. He is also a trustee at the Windsor Homeless Project, which he has found to be a very rewarding way to spend his new found time.
David Stephens Treasurer/Director
This role involves producing monthly accounts, statutory returns, budgets, cash flow forecasts, negotiating financial matters with suppliers, tenants, etc and advising the committee on all financial issues. A qualified accountant, his career involved senior financial roles with several businesses and he was involved in listing companies on the UK and US stock markets. He plays golf (badly) and, until recently, was a regular on the squash court. In the past he has played cricket and football and continues to follow both sports as a supporter. Since retiring he has been a director of two charities and enjoys overseas travel.
Zoe Bruggraber Accountant
Zoe has covered a variety of roles in the corporate world. She had a change of direction after having her son, Sebastian, running the local Buggyfit franchise for 4.5 years pre-Covid19 whilst also working for the club. Zoe is an enthusiastic tennis player, recently taking up the sport but thriving with the challenge! She also enjoys a variety of other sports such as mountain biking, paddle boarding and running as well as interior and exterior design. Zoe’s son also plays for the WLTC junior teams and has been bouncing around the club since he was 3 years old. Not forgetting Zoe's charming husband Richard who, up until recently, was a popular captain of the Men's 1st & 2nd teams.
Beci Lee Tennis Manager
Beci was asked to apply, and well, here she is! Since April 2024, Beci has been thoroughly enjoying her new role as Club Manager and, like Mark, is keen to help improve the clubs facilities and member experiences to ensure that being a member of Windsor Lawn Tennis Club is the best thing ever!
Laura Pritchard Bar Manager
Laura is incredibly passionate about her role and takes a lot of care and pride in her work. She is always hoovering, tidying, dusting and cleaning, as well as ensuring the fridges are fully stocked with a variety of delicious sandwiches and snacks. Laura is married with three children; Harley, Lily-Mae, and Taylor, not forgetting her fourth child – the adorable Frenchie called ‘Maggie’. In her spare time Laura enjoys walks (ideally with a pub at the end of it) and having dinner parties with friends. Laura has been an integral part of the club since her arrival, and as a result the members have come to think of Laura much more than just ‘bar manager’, but as a friend. She looks forward to many more years here at WLTC.
Donna Hockley Assistant Bar Manager
Donna has been an integral part of the team since arriving, is responsible for baking all our delicious home-made cakes and has a wonderful smile that lights up the room. Donna enjoys brisk walks, crime programmes (which is where she learns her sleuthing techniques) and relaxing at home with her gorgeous family. Donna is lucky enough to have 6 beautiful daughters and 3 grandchildren, and enjoys regular visits to Leeds to spend time with them.
Tennis Coaches
Andy Mustill Head Coach
Andy and Peter Jones (yes, the one from Dragons Den) were WLTC’s first pair for many years in the mid to late nineties. As a junior Andy was county champion in all age groups in Buckinghamshire and was in the top 16 in the UK for his age group and received national training. Andy enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, running and DIY as well as supporting Liverpool FC. Andy’s ambition in life is to get a hole in one!
Richard McCarthy Coach
He has also spent a year as an intern as a strength, conditioning and movement coach for performance juniors up to world ranked players. Richard enjoys running, cycling and DIY.
Milan Sevic Coach
He played tennis at a high junior level and is now fully focused on helping others develop their skills and love for the game.
Matt Welsh Coach
He has coached and played for about 25 years and is still loving every minute of it! Matt is very excited to be working at Windsor Lawn Tennis Club, as this is his first full time coaching role, and, in Matt’s words “I have never looked back”.
Luke Hughes Coach
As a player, he started playing casually at 7 years old before taking it more seriously around 11, where he proceeded to train and compete regularly at tournaments around the region. He then went on to achieve his highest national ranking at the U16/U18 age groups. Luke’s first introduction to coaching was at 14 years old where he gained experience in the industry as an assistant. At 21 he went on to study with RPT Europe where he developed insight into the systems of coaching used across countries like Britain, Spain and France. At 25 he was awarded his LTA level 3 qualification.
Stuart Sutherland Coach
Stuart’s highest ranking came at U18 level, where he managed to reach the top 50 in the UK, and then a ranking of 100 as an adult. When he was 19 years old, Stuart left the academy and transitioned into coaching, which he loves. He really likes teaching people at WLTC and thoroughly enjoys delving into the tactical, technical, and mental side of tennis. He enjoys watching movies and TV series in his spare time as well as seeing friends.
Max Lacount Coach
Max is a great all-round coach, with fantastic technical knowledge, specialising in high level tactics for both singles and doubles. Max was born in Arizona and lived there for 8 years before moving to France, which is where he found his passion for tennis and began to pursue a career in the sport. Max has lived and played tennis in 5 different countries (America, UK, Germany, France, Spain). Max managed to reach his highest level of ITF Futures standard, before deciding to pursue a full-time coaching career.
