WLTC Club Life – 03.03.22

Club Manager Update

Dear Members,

As we approach Spring time there’s a lot to look forward to over the coming weeks.
We held our AGM earlier this month, and incase you missed it the highlights are attached below.

As you’ll be aware now we have several exciting projects on the horizon, next being the refurbishment of the changing rooms, foyer and hallway floor in April. More details will be sent out nearer the time, and full details on upcoming club projects and plans are all included in the AGM presentation.

The next social event we have lined up is the Spring Quiz Night on 25th March with tickets now on sale – all details and reminders are covered below. Make sure you secure your place as tickets all sold out quickly for our Halloween Quiz Night last year! The first Tennis FLEX course comes to an end this week, please see the details below and how to book if you’re keen to sign up for the next course – starting 10th March.

We’ve had some amazing results from our WLTC teams – adults and juniors, so we’re very pleased to update you all on their achievements.

Coaching and groups are as popular as ever. It’s now back to the normal term time routine with adult and junior group coaching, the latest info is included below, from our Head Coach Andy Mustill.

Take care and see you soon

Jack Allan
Club Manager

Well done to ALL our WLTC Juniors!
Our Elite Girl Mariam Balat (below, left) having Won a Junior Grade 3 Event.

This is a collection of photos (above & some below) from our U8 Team – the Finals at Bradfield Tennis Centre 13/02/2022

The Team did fantastically and Came unfortunately 3rd out of Three with the Big Super powers in their Group Maidenhead and Bradfield – it was on a real games, rubbers and basically a feathers weight between them decision.

Aaryan and Arnav Shinh (above right & below) leading the way
Their Tournament List is so impressive having both played in the period from Dec 2021 to Present in excess of 50 Matches.

Arnav in the last two matches for the Club won all his Matches and overall Team Loss but he is making those strides based on the No of Matches.

Our Player, Zachary Munday (above, left) has also been playing lots and winning some really good matches and making good progress this Winter.
